You Are what You Want To Be

The most important quality you can ever develop is having belief in yourself. The belief that you can, without a shadow of a doubt achieve success in every area of your life. Virtually every person has the capacity to do wonderful things with his or her life. But the greatest single obstacle for most people is self-doubt.

Many people wish they could accomplish certain things but lack the belief that they can actually do it. When people under achieve in any part of their life, it is their beliefs more than anything else that hold them back. Self-limiting beliefs act as breaks on our ability to achieve our goals. Many of us have high hopes, dreams, and aspirations, but we let doubts creep in and undermine our talents, abilities, and effectiveness.

Each one of us has feelings of inferiority because we feel that we are not good enough. We think that we are not as good as other people, and we feel that we are not good enough to acquire and enjoy the things we want in life. Often we feel that we don’t deserve good things. Even if we work hard and have some achievements in our life, we often feel that we are not really entitled to our successes.

The Universal Law of Belief says that whatever we believe, with feeling becomes our reality. We don’t believe what we see; instead, we see what we believe. Our beliefs form a screen as to how we see the world, and we never allow any information that is not consistent with our beliefs to pass through it. Even if we have beliefs that are totally inconsistent with reality, we won’t let them through because our beliefs have become true for us. The most common and also the most harmful beliefs are the ones that are self-limiting. These are beliefs about yourself. For example, believing that you can’t achieve something because you don’t have enough money or education. You might believe you can’t achieve something because you are the wrong sex, race, age, or it is because of the economy. Most of these beliefs are not true, but they will hold you back nonetheless.

The fact is, you deserve every good thing that you are capable of acquiring through the use of your talents. The only real limitation on what you can be and have, is if you lack the desire. If you you set a goal and want to achieve it badly enough, nothing in the world can stop you from achieving it, as long as you’re willing to persist long and hard enough. To develop positive beliefs, you have to decide exactly where you want to end up in the future. The clearer you are about the result you want in your future, the easier it will be for you to change your actions and behaviours in the short term.

This in turn, will assure that you achieve what you want in the long term. Once you’ve clearly decided on the type of person you want to be, you will have already taken a major first step in developing new beliefs. In order to incorporate your new beliefs into your every day life, you have to discipline yourself to act exactly in every situation as if you already were that person. When you begin to act like the successful person you want to become, you will actually adopt their values, qualities, and characteristics. And they will then become a permanent part of your personality.

If you consistently act like the person you want to become every day and in every situation it will begin a chain reaction. Your attitude will change and become more positive. This will then build stronger and more positive beliefs. And your beliefs will then, exert a positive influence on your values. You have no limitations on your potential except for those that you believe you have. Successful people are not extraordinary or special in any way. They are not different from you or I.

But, all successful people do have the unwavering belief that they can accomplish anything that they really want in life. You are a good person. From this day forward, see yourself as the very best you can be, and refuse to accept any limitations on your possibilities. Once you develop that belief in yourself, and you act in accordance with your beliefs, your future will be unlimited.

Bamboo and Fern

One day I decided to quit...I quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality... I wanted to quit my life.I went to the woods to have one last talk with God. "God", I said.

"Can you give me one good reason not to quit?"

His answer surprised me...

Look around", He said. "Do you see the fern and the bamboo?"

"Yes", I replied.

"When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of them. I gave them light. I gave them water. The fern quickly grew from the earth. Its brilliant green covered the floor. Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo. In the second year the Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful. And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo." He said.

"In year three there was still nothing from the bamboo seed. But I would not quit.In year four, again, there was nothing from the bamboo see. I would not quit." He said."Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth. Compared to the fern it was seemingly small andinsignificant...But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall. It had spent the five years growingroots. Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive. I would not give any of my creations achallenge it could not handle." He said to me.

"Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots?"

"I would not quit on the bamboo. I will never quit on you."

"Don't compare yourself to others." He said. "The bamboo had a different purpose than the fern. Yet they both makethe forest beautiful."

"Your time will come", God said to me. "You will rise high"

"How high should I rise?" I asked.

"How high will the bamboo rise?" He asked in return.

"As high as it can?" I questioned

"Yes." He said, "Give me glory by rising as high as you can."

I left the forest and bring back this story. I hope these words can help you see that God will never give up on you.

HE will never give up on you!

Take care......

THINK BIG

I heard a story about a man on vacation in Hawaii with his wife. He was a good man who had achieved a modest measure of success, but he was coasting along, thinking that he'd already reached his limits in life. One day, a friend was driving the couple around the island, showing them the sights. They stopped to admire a gorgeous house set high on a hill.

As the man gazed at the magnificent home, he commented to his wife and friend, 'I can't even imagine living in a place like that.' Right there, something inside him said, 'Don't worry. You won't. You will never live in a great place like that.' Startled at his own thoughts, he asked himself, 'What do you mean?' As long as you can't imagine it, as long as you can't see it, then it is not going to happen for you. The man correctly realised that his own thoughts and attitudes were condemning him to mediocrity. He determined then and there to start believing better of himself, and believing better of God.

It's the same way with us. We have to conceive it on the inside before were ever going to receive it on the outside. If you don't think you can have something good, then you never will. The barrier is in your mind. Its not God's lack of resources or your lack of talent that prevents you from prospering. Your own wrong thinking can keep you from God's best. You, too, may have assumed that you've already peaked, that you've reached your limits in life, that you will never be more successful. Sad to say, you are right, unless you are willing to change your thinking.

That's why the first step to living at your full potential is to enlarge your vision. To live your best life now, you must start looking at life through eyes of faith, seeing yourself rising to new levels. See your business taking off. See your marriage restored. See your family prospering. See your dreams coming to pass. You must conceive it and believe it is possible if you ever hope to experience it. To conceive it, you must have an image on the inside of the life you want to live on the outside. This image has to become a part of you, in your thoughts, your conversation, deep down in your subconscious mind, in your actions, in every part of your being. What you keep before your eyes will affect you. You will produce what you're continually seeing in your mind.

If you foster an image of defeat and failure, then you're going to live that kind of life. But if you develop an image of victory, success, health, abundance, joy, peace, and happiness, nothing on earth will be able to hold those things from you. Too many times we get stuck in a rut, thinking we've reached our limits. We don't really stretch our faith; we don't believe for anything bigger.
But God wants us to constantly be increasing, to be rising to new heights. He wants to increase you in His wisdom and help you to make better decisions.

The Scripture says that God wants to pour out His far and beyond favour. God wants this to be the best time of your life. But if you are going to receive this favour, you must enlarge your vision. You can't go around thinking negative, defeated, limiting thoughts. To experience this immeasurable favour, you must rid yourself of that small-minded thinking and start expecting God's blessings, start anticipating promotion and supernatural increase. You must conceive it in your heart and mind before you can receive it.

In other words, you must make room for increase in your own thinking, then God will bring those things to pass. Until you learn how to enlarge your vision, seeing the future through your eyes of faith, your own wrong thinking will prevent good things from happening in your life. God will not pour fresh, creative ideas and blessings into old attitudes. God has so much more in store for you. Start making room for it in your thinking. Conceive it on the inside.

Start seeing yourself rising to a new level, doing something of significance, living in that home of your dreams. If you want to see Gods far and beyond favour, then you must replace those old wineskins. Get rid of those old wineskins. Get rid of that small-minded thinking and start thinking as God thinks. Think big. Think increase. Think abundance. Think more than enough.

Prayer Power (Contd....)

Fifth Great Prayer:

GOD I SEE YOU EVERYWHERE
By saying this prayer everyday it helps you “recognize” that God, His presence, and power, is everywhere. If you get so caught up on your problems, be it health, money, or a relationship; and your focus is on yourself and your problem, when it should always be on God, you’ll miss God’s messengers and events that have been sent your way, by God, to help you.
Within every adversity is the seed of an equal or greater benefit."
What you may think is a problem is actually an “opportunity” disguised as a problem. So when problems come your way, and they come to all of us, look for the benefit that will come your way when you solve the problem.

Sixth Great Prayer:

GOD BLESS AND I LOVE (fill in the blank)
Loving one another has always been one of God’s top commandments. When you open your heart to others, you are acting and living as God commanded you to do.
If God is “inside” you, that means He is also “inside” everyone you meet on a daily basis. Friends. Family. Co-workers. People on the street. Any, and everyone!
And yes, even those you don’t like, those that have wronged you; those that if may be your enemies has God within; unlike you though, they may not recognize that God is in them. God is inside them too. Though for some of these types of people you may have to look REAL HARD and deep into their soul to find God.

"I FORGIVE YOU AND GOD BLESS AND I LOVE YOU”
Now you're not loving the wrong doings of this person, you are instead loving the goodness in that person, the God within, and by you praying this prayer to them does two things.
First, it just may help that person be a better person.
Second, it helps you. For you to truly ATTRACT more Blessings into your life you HAVE to get into with God’s positive energy. Forgive and forget. Let go and let God.

Seventh Great Prayer:
GOD USE ME TO DO YOUR GOOD WORKS
"Whatever you put out into the universe will come back to you TEN-FOLD.”
So, if you want love, give love; you'll get ten times the love back!

Many times we wonder what am I on earth for? God as put you here to do good. Look, think, and pray to God for help and guidance on what you should do to help people and mother earth.
Age should does not matter; at whatever age, you could, and should, find a way for God to use YOU to do his good works.

Seven Great Prayers

The First Great Prayer:
‘GOD I LOVE YOU’ / ‘I LOVE YOU GOD AND YOU LOVE ME.'
This prayer praises God.

The Second Great Prayer:
‘THANK YOU GOD!'
This prayer thanks God for the many Blessings he bestows on you - daily! So many times we all get caught up in our internal soap opera of our own life, we get so focused on ourselves, and our problems, we don’t see, and THANK God, for the blessings He gives us DAILY. You will never be able to ATTRACT God’s Blessings until you change your focus. Don’t focus on you and your problems, but instead, focus on God, his Love, and his Power.

The Third Great Prayer:
‘GOD YOU ARE INSIDE ME!’
This Prayer recognizes God, and that the POWER of God is 'inside' you. This prayer brings you closer to God.

Here’s the 'current' recipe for praying success. Recognized God, Praise God, Thank God and then say/pray affirmations to yourself that build up your self-worth. Love who you are, and know that God does too!!

God, I believe and know you are inside me!
God, you like me, and I like me.
God your love shines through me
God, I love you! And you love me.
Thank You God for…’ (fill in the blank).
I’m happy, healthy, and loving.
Day by day, in every way, I’m getting healthier and healthier.
I feel happy, I feel healthy, I feel terrific!’‘I like myself, I like myself, I like myself.
Thank You God for…’ (fill in the blank).
Day by day, in every way, I’m getting closer and closer to God.
I can do it!’‘With God inside me, I can do anything.
Day by day, in every way, I’m getting (fill in the blank)’ etc.

The Fourth Great Prayer:

FOCUS ON GOD – NOT YOU
Look outward towards God and recognize and give THANKS for what He continues to give you. Please, pause every day, throughout the day, to recognize and give THANKS to God for the gifts He gives you. Be thankful for the LITTLE things, and you will soon be giving THANKS to God for the BIGGER Blessings you’re asking for. You will not get BIG blessings until you first give thanks for the LITTLE blessings. Thank God for sunshine. The air. Your pet. A friend. It’s not hard to do….just look, and THANK! Give THANKS for everything!
For you to be successful in “positive” prayer you have to eliminate all negative thinking in your life. I know this is extremely hard to do; I struggle with this all the time. But I’ve found that the best way to breakthrough and switch from negative thinking, to a positive life, is to pray always thinking and visualizing “POSITIVE” outcomes and to use the POWER OF AFFIRMATIONS.

When praying, keep your focus on God "inside you". If God is inside you, his Holy Spirit is inside you, it only makes sense that He has the power to ATTRACT good things toward Him and You – like a magnet attracts metal!

What can make this attraction “not” work?
Negative thinking.
A poor attitude.
Guilt.
Anger.

Thinking negative thoughts minimizes and blocks God’s ability to attract goodness into your life. Forgive yourself. Forgive your spouse. Forgive your enemy.Release the bad and attract God’s goodness and Blessings .

A Full Glass Of Milk

A Full Glass Of Milk
Very nice story to spread to...

One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to payfor his hungry stomach, decided he would ask for a meal at the nexthouse. On the way through school, he found he had only one thin dime leftand he was very hungry. However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened thedoor.Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water. The woman thought he looked hungry, so brought him a large glass ofmilk. He drank it slowly, and then asked, "How much do I owe you?"You don't owe me anything," she replied. "Mother has taught us,never to accept pay for a kindness."He said..."Then I thank you from my heart."Years later that young woman became critically ill.The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the bigcity, where they called in specialists to study her rare disease.Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation. When he heard the name of the town she came from, a strange lightfilled his eyes. Immediately he rose and went down the hall of thehospital to her room.Dressed in his doctor's gown he went in to see her.He recognized her at once.He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best tosave her life. From that day he gave special attention to the case. After a long struggle, the battle was won.Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill tohim for approval. He looked at it, then wrote something on the edgeand the bill was sent to her room. The woman feared opening it, for she was sure it would take therest of her life to pay for it all. Finally she looked, and something caught her attention on the sideof the bill. She read these words..."Paid in full with one glass of milk."Signed, Dr.Howard Kelly.

Tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy heart prayed: Thank You,God, that Your love has spread abroad through human hearts and hands."

*F-R-I-E-N-D-S*

Somewhere between the incessant forwards
and the friendships
and the calls to each other complaining about cRuSHeS
and BF/GF!!

Somewhere between the phone calls to old friends
and the "I miss you's", the "I love you's"
and the "What are we doing tonight's?"

And somewhere between all of th e changing and growing..
somewhere between the classes and the skipping classes..
and the StUdYiNg for teStS..
and the PRETENDING to "StUdY" for TeStS..
and the downright NOT StUdYiNg for TeStS..

I forgot -- I forgot what ScHooL was all about...

Somewhere between all the appointments, starbuck's coffee and McDonald's..
paying bills and then not paying bills..
making plans then breaking plans..
appearing, Disappearing, then reappearing..

I forgot -- I forgot what it was like to cry.
I forgot that pretending to be happy doesn't make you happy
and that pretending to be sMaRT doesn't make you smart ..

I forgot that you can't just forget the past in fear of the FUTURE..
I forgot that you can't control falling in LoV e..
And that you can't make yourself fall in *LoVe*..

I learned that I can LOVE..
I learned that it's okay to MeSS uP..
And it's okay to ask for HELP!!!..
And it's okay to feel like crap..

I learned it's okay to CoMPLaiN and WHiNe to all your friends for a whole day..
I learned that sometimes the things you want most you just can't have
and the things that you look for are right in front of you.

I learned that the greatest thing about ScHooL and university and the working world,
it isn't about the parties or the>DRiNKiNG or the Hookups..
It's the *FrIeNdShIpS*, which means taking chances.

I learned that sometimes the things we want to forget are the things which we most need to talk about..
I learned that TIME and LOVE can heal all things.
I learned that just when you think it can't get worse - it does!..
but with the love and support of friends - you survive..

I've learned that when you start feeling BaD about L O S I N G touch and about those that you've lost!, They too, are feeling the same way..
I learned that letters from friends are the most important things.
And that sending cards to your friends makes you feel better!

But, basically, I just learned that my friends.. Both old and new.. are the most important people to me in the world AND.. without them, I wouldn't be who I am today..

Remember "In searching for everything you want,be careful not to lose what you have."

Nothing is too big for God

Two men went fishing. One was an experienced fisherman, the other wasn't. Every time the experienced fisherman caught a big fish, he put it in his ice chest to keep it fresh. Whenever the inexperienced fisherman caught a big fish, he threw it back. The experienced fisherman watched this go on all day and finally got tired of seeing the man waste good fish. "Why do you keep throwing back all the big fish you catch?" he asked. The inexperienced fisherman replied, "I only have a small frying pan."Sometimes, like that fisherman, we throwback the big plans, big dreams, big jobs, big opportunities that God gives us. Our faith is too small. We laugh at that fisherman who didn't figure out that all he needed was a bigger frying pan, yet how ready are we to increase the size of our faith?Whether it's a problem or a possibility, God will never give you anything bigger than you can handle. That means we can confidently walk into anything God brings our way.You can do all things through God. Nothing is too big for God.

THANK YOU GOD

When times are tough, either financially, physically, emotionally, etc., it can be pretty darn tough to give THANKS to God, but you can, and you have too…

Quick Story of BOY who never forgets to thank GOD.

When I was seven years I was running through the woods while playing with my friends and I tripped and fell and a stick hit me in my eye, completely blinding my right eye.

This was a pretty traumatic event for both my parents and I. But right from the start my dad, a man of great faith, was thanking God. Thanking Him that it was only one eye. Thanking Him that something worse could have happened. Thanking Him for the strength that God gave us through this trying time.

I had five operations to correct the injury; none worked. I had to stay in the hospital weeks at a time in a special eye hospital in New York City and I was on a floor with other children, all with various eye problems.

Boy, was I giving God thanks then when I saw little boys and girls all worse off then me. Many blind in BOTH eyes! To this day, all I have to do is close my left eye (my good eye) to start THANKING God for my good eye. Look around you, nature is so beautiful!!

Since this eye injury, like you, I’ve had my other challenges, money, relationships, etc. And the tougher times get, the more I THANK GOD for all that He's given me, and continues to give me. Many times it's the 'little' things that really make life so special; so THANK God for 'everything' - by THANKING God continuously you open yourself to better receive more blessings from God.

So turn your focus off your problems. Praise God and Give Him Thanks! You really do have so much to be THANKFUL for. Be thankful you’re a child of God and that you belief in God. Be thankful that you have God as your best friend.

Take a moment right now and write a list of all that you have to be thankful for! The more you thank God for what you’ve received, the more Blessings you will receive!!

God Bless You and Yours

The 3-Step Happiness Kit

Your thoughts have a direct influence on the way you feel and behave. If you tend to dwell on sad or negative thoughts, you most likely are not a very happy person.
Likewise, if you think that your job is enough to give you a headache, you probably will come home with throbbing temples each day. This is just another clear example of the power the mind exerts over the body.

Your imagination can be a powerful tool to help you combat stress, tension, and anxiety.
Try to visualise two or three times a day. Most people find it easiest to do so in bed in the morning and at night before falling asleep, though with practice you'll be able to visualise whenever and wherever the need arises. How to visualise

1. To begin visualisation, sit or lie down in a comfortable position and close your eyes. Scan your body for any muscle tension and relax the areas that need it.

2. Once you feel relaxed, begin to visualise a scene, object or place that is soothing and pleasing to you.

3. Imagine every aspect of the scene, involving all of your senses. For example, if you like to visualise a waterfall on a mountain, imagine first what this looks like: the rushing water, the stream flowing from it, the size and thickness of the trees all around.

Another type of visualisation involves an image that you associate with tension which you can replace with an image for relaxation.

For example, you might visualise tension as a taut rope, the sound of thunder, the colour red, pitch darkness, persistent hammering, or blinding white light. These images of tension can soften and fade into images of relaxation.

For instance, the taut rope loosens, the thunder subsides and is replaced by a light rain, red turns to orchid, the darkness begins to lighten, the pounding hammer is replaced by the murmur of cicadas and crickets, the blinding white light softens to a sunset.

As you become more involved in your visual image, your body will relax and you will be able to let go of the problems or worries that you had felt before

What's Inside You

Everything in your life is affected by your own inner experience. Everything outside you is a reflection of your state of consciousness. Your own thoughts and desires make up your life, and everything you see is contained within yourself. By your own thoughts you make your life, your world, and your universe.

The selfish soul is moving with unerring precision toward misfortune and catastrophe; the pure soul is gravitating with equal precision towards happiness and prosperity. Every soul attracts its own and nothing can possibly come to it that is not within it. To realise this is to recognise the universality of divine law. "All that we are is the result of our thoughts; the world is made up of our thoughts," said Buddha.

If a person is happy, it is because he dwells in happy thoughts. If he is miserable, it is because he dwells in despondent and debilitating thoughts. And now I seem to hear a chorus of voices exclaim, "Do you really mean to say that outside circumstances do not affect our minds?" I did not say that, but I do say this: circumstances can only affect you insofar as you allow them to do so. You are swayed by circumstances because you do not understand the nature of your thoughts. You believe that external events have the power to make or break your life. By believing this, you submit to those outer things and say that you are their slave. You invest them with the power which they do not have.

I knew of two men who lost their life savings in a bank failure. One was very deeply troubled, and gave in to despondency.
The other, reading in his morning newspaper that the bank in which his money was deposited failed, said, "worry won’t bring the money back, but hard work will."

He went back to work with renewed vigor, and rapidly became prosperous, while the first man, continuing to mourn loss of his money, remained a victim of circumstances.

If circumstances had the power to bless or harm, they would affect all men alike — but the fact that the same circumstance will be good to one and bad to another demonstrates that good or bad is not in the circumstance, but only in the mind of the person who interprets it.

When you begin to realise this you will begin to control your thoughts, to discipline your mind, and to rebuild the inward temple of your soul. You will eliminate all useless thoughts, and incorporate into yourself thoughts of joy, peace, and compassion.

As you do this, you will become joyful and peaceful, compassionate and loving. As we clothe events with the drapery of our thoughts, so likewise do we clothe the objects of the visible world around us. Where one sees harmony and beauty, another sees ugliness.

The wildflower, to the poet, is an angelic messenger. To the musician, the ocean is a living thing with changing moods and divine harmonies. Where the ordinary mind sees disaster and confusion, the mind of the philosopher sees the perfect sequence of cause and effect. Where the materialist sees nothing but endless death, the mystic sees eternal life. As we clothe both events and objects with our own thoughts, so likewise do we clothe the souls of others in the garments of our thoughts.

The suspicious believe everybody to be suspicious. The liar believes that there is no such thing as a completely truthful person. The miser thinks everyone is after his money — he sleeps with a pistol, wrapped up in the delusion that the world is filled with thieves. The sensualist looks upon the saint as a hypocrite. On the other hand, those who dwell in loving thought see events which call for their love and sympathy.

The trusting and honest are not troubled by suspicion. The good-natured and charitable rejoice at the good fortune of others. Those who realise the divine within themselves recognise it in all living things. We are supported in our mental outlook because we attract what we send forth. Therefore we come in contact with people similar to ourselves.

If you are one of those who pray for, and look forward to, a happier world beyond the grave, here's a message of gladness for you: you may enter into and realise that happy world now. It fills the whole universe and is within you, waiting for you to find and acknowledge it. Said one who knew the inner laws of Being, "The kingdom of God is within you." Simply believe this with a mind free of doubt — then meditate upon it until you understand it. You will thus begin to purify and build your inner world.

Do You Feel There is No Hope

In your times of deep despair,
Do you feel there is no hope?
As the darkness closes in on you,
Do you feel you cannot cope?

As you struggle on through every trial,
Do you say "When will it end"?
As you cry yourself to sleep at night,
Do you wish you had a friend?

When your body's racked with aches and pains,
Do you feel you are alone?
When you think about the future,
Do you fear the great unknown?

There is someone who really cares,
And He hears your every cry.
His arms are reaching out to you,
And on Him you can rely.

When things close in around you,
He sees your fear and doubt -He wants to hold you in His arms,
And He will never cast you out.
As you stumble through the darkness,He will be your guiding light.

He wants to wipe away your tears,
For you are precious in His sight.
Reach out right now to GOD,

And let Him take complete control -He'll take that heavy burden,
And He'll touch and make you whole.

He's reaching out His arms to you,

And He wants to be your friend.
Let Him take you in His loving arms,
For His love will never end.
